I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Teapot Island. We are a family run business that has
been established since April 2003.
Since 2004 we have supported the Kent Air Ambulance via our 3 metre tall Wishing Well teapot and cup and we currently hold two Guinness World Record certificates.
There has been a cafe on site since the 1950s. It started its life as a tin shack serving tea and selling bait to
the fisherman. It has changed a lot since then we now have a wide variety of different types of food on our menu
and a big selection of ice creams for you to enjoy.
We are well known for our cream teas which boast scones, which are baked on the premises daily, real cornish clotted cream, our own homemade jam and not forgetting
of course a pot of tea.
We have over 6700 teapots on display in our exhibition that is open to the public for a small charge and you
can purchase a memento from our shop to take home with you to remind you of your day with us.
Our potter, Gary Seymour of Seymour Designs, designs and makes teapots and other items to sell which are
on display outside his workshop on sunny days along with Gary who will take every chance to top up his tan.
We have paint your own pottery for sale that range from teddies to teapots, so you and your children can
experience painting a masterpiece for yourself. all our items are fired on site so you can use them every
day at home and you can put them in a dishwasher.
We can arrange for you to hold your child's paint your own birthday party here which includes a dinner,
dessert, drink, a visit to our exhibition and of course an item of your choice to paint.
We consider ourselves lucky to be situated alongside the river medway where you can enjoy walking along
its banks to watch the wildlife at play or just sit outside in our tranquil garden and watch the world go by.
